Call Me Crazy!

I'm obsessed with the holidays...for those of you who are not aware! Christmas is my biggest weakness!!! I love Thanksgiving too (because of the family time and food), but nothing puts me in a better mood than some Hot Cocoa, Holiday Music, Time with my family and a BEAUTIFUL Christmas Tree!!! Which brings me to the point of this blog...I PUT UP MY TREE!!!!
God really blessed me with an amazing man as my husband, who puts up with me and allows me to indulge in the holiday spirit a little earlier than most!!

Still needing a tree skirt, but I managed to wrap a few gifts and put them under the tree already!! I'm so happy that it's almost Christmas time!!! But first...Happy Thanksgiving (in about 2 weeks)!!!

Perfect Gift for the Holidays!

So, last year my husband and I decided we wanted to sponsor a child for Christmas! That was our gift to each other! We researched a TON of different companies, their financial accountability boards (if they even had them). A lot of companies we looked at were a bit skeptical, but we were lucky to have a few friends that sponsor children and use Compassion International. At the end of our research we decided we would work with Compassion International. They offer trips to visit your child, they tell you how your money is being used and you have direct contact with your child via letters. They obviously have a translator that translates our letters for us and our child, as well!

So, here is our little guy! His name is Mesay Markos, he is 8 years old and will be 9 in February! He lives with his Aunt, because sadly both of his parents have passed, but he is a bright young guy with a bright future!
