Perfect Gift for the Holidays!

So, last year my husband and I decided we wanted to sponsor a child for Christmas! That was our gift to each other! We researched a TON of different companies, their financial accountability boards (if they even had them). A lot of companies we looked at were a bit skeptical, but we were lucky to have a few friends that sponsor children and use Compassion International. At the end of our research we decided we would work with Compassion International. They offer trips to visit your child, they tell you how your money is being used and you have direct contact with your child via letters. They obviously have a translator that translates our letters for us and our child, as well!

So, here is our little guy! His name is Mesay Markos, he is 8 years old and will be 9 in February! He lives with his Aunt, because sadly both of his parents have passed, but he is a bright young guy with a bright future!

So, if you and your spouse aren't wanting to do material gifts for the holidays this year and are looking for a good gift for each other...go to http://www.compassion.com and sponsor a child this year. We pay $38 a month and it helps to get him into school, buy his supplies for school, help with any health needs he may encounter through the year, etc. The other thing, is that Compassion International is a faith based program, so Mesay is learning about faith as well! A MAJOR plus!

Merry Christmas to Jeff & Heather!

So Jeff and I decided to get each other a few big Christmas gifts this year! We bought a nice big (I don't know how many inches...ask Jeff) flat screen T.V. and an amazing camera!! Now introducing our Canon Rebel XSi...

Jeff and I had a little bit of time to take some photos and so far we are loving it! There is so much you can do with this camera...so much to learn! We plan on taking a class, so we can learn all the fun and crazy things to do! Then I'm going to take a class that focuses just on Adobe Illustrator, so I can touch up the photos we take! Should be lots of fun! Here are some of the photos we've taken!

Merry Christmas!!
XOXO!
