Welcome to the world Harmony Clara Gorton

Well, for those of you who haven't heard...Harmony has arrived!!!!

After 22 hours of labor and 35 minutes of pushing she entered our world at 11:08pm on October 5, 2010. Weighing in at 7lbs 4 oz and 20 1/2in long, she is a perfect beauty!!!!

I'm for sure a Daddy's girl!

...but I love my Mommy too (when she's not smothering me with kisses)!

I can't wait to get rid of the mittens, so Daddy tried to help me out by giving me a manicure, and I LOVED it!

I also like naps on Mommy or Daddy's chest...I sleep really peacefully there!

That's all for now...we'll try to keep you updated a little more often now that we are settling in a little better now!

"Full Term"

So here was us last week...37 week, which is considered "full term"!
We could go in to labor any day from now to October 3rd and it will be safe! We had an ultrasound last week and she was weighing in at 6 lbs. She's a tiny little thing, but feels more like a watermelon in my belly!

I'm 38 weeks now, so we have only 2 weeks left until the "due date"! However, at my last Dr's appt, I was 2 cm's dilated, 90% effaced and Harmony's head is at ZERO station (basically, she is in posistion and waiting for me to dilate to 4 cm's...that's considered "active labor")!

We've been setting up her nursery...here's a picture of her BEAUTIFUL crib (compliments of BeBe and Randy (yes, my dad wants Harmony to call him "Randy"...but I think she'll decide what she's going to call him and he'll love it) He'll be wrapped around her tiny little finger)!

I've definitely been doing a little bit of nesting, and I think Jeff has been too a little bit...

Hehe! Just kidding...kinda! We got a great carrier for my birthday from my brother and my sister-in-law! I think Jeff looks great in it! I had to put a little stuffed animal in in for us to really test it out! Hehe!

Hope you all enjoy the pics! They'll probably be the last until after we are home and settled in with Harmony! Wish us luck!

16...almost 17 week ultrasound!

So, last week we went to our 16 week appt. We saw the Ultrasound Technician first and then we went across the street to see my OB!

We were so excited, we thought we were going to learn the gender of our little Baby Bean, but we learned instead that we have a little monkey! Baby Bean was an active little toot (kicking, punching and doing barrel rolls) during the entire hour. Thus, we were not able to get a profile picture...or even learn if our Baby Bean is a Boy or a Girl. The poor Ultrasound Technician was getting a little frustrated, because he was having a very difficult time catching the baby in any position he needed to get the anatomy measurements he needed. He assured us that if we get a call to come back in, it was not because they found something wrong rather it was that our little toot was fighting him the entire time and they needed to try to remeasure again. At that point I did not care that we were unable to tell the gender, I was just so excited that we have a VERY active baby with a GREAT heart rate! Now, try telling an impatient BeBe-to-be that we were not able to find out the gender...woah...my mom was not pleased with Baby Bean's performance! We are all wanting to plan the nursery and buy the baby clothes, but my mom is just sitting on the edge of her seat ready to get started!

We'll update you as soon as we get more news! Oh...and the pictures! The one of the Baby Bean is his/her right side with his/her right arm waving. The picture of my belly...that is right after my lunch. I'm always a little more full than normal right after a meal!

Introducing...

OUR LITTLE BEAN!!!

Jeff and I are so excited to finally announce that we are pregnant...well I'm pregnant! :) We are beyond thrilled! We've been waiting three months to scream it from the top of our lungs...and the time has finally come! The "Bean" is due to enter the world on October 5, 2010!
So far, I have not had any "morning sickness"! I guess that would make me one of the lucky few! My mom never had it with neither my brother nor me! So I guess that gene runs pretty strong in our family! YAY for me! Hehe! I will post pictures as my belly starts to expand...oh and is it starting already! WOAH! But for now...you get to see our little "Bean's" 1st photo!
